Yeah, metal. My favourite musical genre. There are countless subgenres and bands, but what are your favourites? My current favourite bands are Keep of Kalessin, Apostasy and GWAR, the former two being black metal and I'm not really sure what the latter would be categorised as.

What's you're favourite subgenre of metal, or do you just not like it? To be honest, metal has really grown on me in recent years.

Speed, Power, Thrash and similar stuff.

I guess I don't like much Speed/Power Metal, but Dragonforce is my favourite in there. Seriously, should listen to them if you like fast stuff:

A little not though, some of them are watered down on Youtube, in the sense of length. Oh well, I have the long versions:

Otherwise, I really like Metallica as well.

Yeah I really hate Dragonforce...  personally I've been straying away from Metal a lot, but I like Metallica's post-Black Album stuff now.  I enjoy the metal that's somewhat bluesy with hints of Hard Rock- basically, Heavy Metal- although my favorite band is *technically* Prog Rock/Metal (Tool).

i used to back metal so hard from like '09 to mid '11.. my interest slowly weened, and i'm into punk and hardcore now, but sometimes i still like to spin some slayer or somesuch..

i was thrash through and through, reppin' metallica, slayer, anthrax, megadeth, kreator, sodom, exodus, celtic frost, evile.. electric wizard is pretty sick as well, doom metal stuff, real heavy..

^dragonforce used to be the heaviest stuff i listened to, and i thought it was the most awesome thing ever in '07. its kind of a joke now, between friends, cos everyone repped them so hard

Firewind is another power metal band... Guitarist has received honors.
Refer to The Forgotten Memory, Feast of the Savages, and Breaking the Silence.

I was a punk when I was a younger brat, I like hard rock and metal very much. I also like Tool very much. Saw Dream Theater and Maiden together in concert (:
